Bookworm, they had called Laura at school, her nose perennially buried in musty tomes. “Knowledge is riches,” she always told them.
Today, she was finishing her favorite author’s latest novel, borrowed from the public library. As she flipped to the last page, a ticket slipped out and fluttered to the floor.
Tomorrow, she’s a multi-millionaire.
