John walked down the hall of his school, completely unprepared for what he was about to see. Rounding the corner he froze. His eyes widened and his pants moistened. Twenty feet away, a boy he barely recognized held a pistol to the head of a girl he had only spoken to twice in Chemistry class.

The lights were off by the time I got home and I knew she’d went to bed without me. It was 2.30am after all and she had an early start. Working lives meant we were missing each other at every opportunity, something real was slipping away as we concentrated on things that didn’t really matter.

Brazzk was stunned at his discovery. The attempts at securing the solar system had failed.
Thousands of spacecraft surrounded the planet, waiting for the signal to attack. They’ve been well hidden in the chunks of rock and ice making up the planet’s rings. At the signal, the rings exploded outward, sending the attackers toward Earth.
Crazy Eights
“You’re good,” he said.
“Me? Good?” she sputtered disbelievingly. “I don’t think so.”
“I’ve watched you play this hand with ease,” he admitted with respect.
“I really can’t say I’m good at this,” she just quietly told him. “You see — the fate of this last card rests on the player whose turn is before mine.”
Normal Day

Kyle thought it’d be a normal day. He woke up. Took a shower. Drove to work. Got a cup of coffee and sat down at his desk. Then he noticed the white, fluffy bunny, holding a knife and shaking it angrily in his direction.
It was not going to be a normal day after all.

Against enormous odds, Horrible just won the Kentucky Derby.
