When Joe saw the ghost, he ran like hell.
It chased him through town, the graveyards, and into the forest. Joe tripped over a stone, getting a sharp blow to his head. When he became etheric, the ghost looked at him in contempt.
“Damnit, O’Leary,” said his former coach. “You still run like a girl!”

“Stay away from that. Precious. Be very careful.”
He turned to check that she was listening to him but by then it was already too late. The yawning void of time swallowed them both whole.

Gwarsl fumed at Brazzk’s narrow escape. He hid in the sand dunes, knowing that Brazzk will pass through the red planet. This time, he planned to use a heat-seeking missile.
Brazzk’s craft flew near a towering mountain. Gwarsl unleashed the missile. It narrowly missed its target and continued straight into the crater of Olympus Mons.
