“What’s the point of bar-hopping anyway?” she asked the cold night.
Ahead, one car swerved on an ice patch, causing a traffic jam. The driver on her right got out to investigate and slipped on more ice. Rhonna sighed and went over to help. Their eyes met.

He reviewed it carefully: two salads, scallop risotto and shrimp Alfredo, two glasses of pinot grigio, two pieces of blackberry cheesecake. Putting his pen away, he glanced at the uneaten food across from him before shuffling off to their - no, his empty […]

As fast as possible, Luke rose to his feet. One wobbly step followed the next, and he chased the ball across the floor.
Finally, he managed to pick it up. Turning around he raised the ball over his head, and with a squeal of delight he tossed it across the room giving chase yet again.

The thief frantically moved his tools within the lock. Sweat was dripping off his nose. With each passing moment he knew that the guards were marching closer. He had to get through this door before the ogres caught the musty scent passed through his perspiration. Finally he heard the click and rapidly turned the handle.
