A Man of Few Words

“The usual.” He said from behind his newspaper.

Pancakes, bacon and black coffee. It’s always the same every morning. Then a generous tip, and he was gone.

“Handsome man, but what a cold character,” the waitress mused.

“Will I ever have the courage to ask her out?” he wondered on his way out the door.
