The Mutt

Drained and exhausted, he fell to his knees. There were people around him. They were trying to help him up, but not because he needed help. It was a celebratory gesture.
Amid the cheers he quietly contemplated his performance. It still wasn’t good enough, not for his self-imposed standards anyway.
“Next time” he thought…

A Dehydrating Dispute

As soon as I raised my voice I knew that the argument would be as good as over. It’s not really an argument after that point… More of a shouting match… It’d never get either of us anywhere.
Besides, we’d been arguing so long I could barely remember what we were arguing about.
I’m thirsty.

The Dark Nothing

The robot creaked, spitting sparks. It’s defeat had proven devastating… It exploded almost as if it were in slow motion.
He was already running, blazing through the now blistering corridor, the flames inching ever closer. He found an exit and leapt into the dark nothing.
He was later caught by a fox in a biplane.

The new blogger…

After much persuasion, Maruthi finally managed to get me to agree to be on the 55Fiction team…
Now I can post my utterly defeating stories whenever I want… I love writing these little stories, so now I’m actually a full contributor you’ll be hearing more from me in the future.
