The Smoking Gun

Through bleary eyes, Arch poured over the subpoenaed documents. He knew everything about the Christmas party, Gwen Dreeser’s cancer and Marcus Proost’s baby. There were tired email jokes, virus warnings and bogus consumer product recalls, but there was nothing about –

When The Man Comes Knocking

Alex hurtled through the corridor. He could hear the dogs behind him. He dashed around a corner. He saw a door on his left. It was unlocked.
Inside, he tried to catch his breath. There was silence.
Then a knock. An old woman with a red-tipped cane slowly made her way to the door.
